3 Steps to Restore Corrupted Files

Step 1: Select Recovery Mode to Restore Corrupted Files

The first thing that is required of you is to download Wondershare Data Recovery to your computer. After that you can install it and then launch it. When you do so, an interface similar to one shown in the image below will appear. You will have an option of recovering lost via three different recovery modes. For corrupted files, select the ‘Partition Recovery’ mode.

Step 2: Select Partition to Scan

In this step, you just need to select the partition where your corrupted files are placed. So basically you are selecting the place where you had last saved the undamaged files. If you want to recover files from an external device, then connect the device to the computer and select the partition. After you have made the selections, click on ‘Start’ to start the scanning of the device.

Step 3: Check the Restorable Files and Begin to Restore

After the scan is over, all the files that are available will be displayed listed in classifications or as original. You can preview them and then select the files that you want to restore. Then you can select the files you want to restore and click ‘Recover’ to save them back to your computer.

Note: Do not save the restored file back to its original path. Otherwise you might not be able to restore it.
