Videos are very helpful and can add life to anything and everything. That is why we make videos to add to our presentations, to send them to our loved ones, to use as teaching aid in educational institutions. These videos cannot be complete if we do not add suitable music to them. You can make use of this software called as Filmora Wondershare Filmora (originally Wondershare Video Editor). Here is how you can add music to videos.
Steps to Add Background Music to Videos
First and foremost, start by downloading the Wondershare Filmora software on your computer. You can do so by clicking on the download button on this page. After that is done, install the software to your computer. The installation process requires you to only click on the ‘Install’ button and then the software will take over. It is a quick process and won take up a lot of your time. Now, that the downloading and installation is done, launch the program.
Step 1: Import your Original Videos
After you launch the program, the main interface window of the program will appear. In it, click on the ‘Import’ button. This will enable you to upload files from your computer to the software. Specifically, to the User’s Album of the program. Otherwise, simply drag and drop these video from your computer to the primary window. All the added video clips will be displayed in the left media pane. Note that you can add still images files if needed.
Step 2: Add background music to video
Now, drag the imported video files from the album to the Video Timeline one by one. You have to make sure that these files are arranged according to the play order and without overlapping. Then drag and drop the music files in the Music Timeline. Now you can cut it and adjust the position of the videos according to your liking. When you set the position, you can real-time check in previewing window and finally fine tune it.
- Editing audio tips: To Edit the audio, double click on the music file to see the audio editing panel. Here, you can do make more changes like speed up/slow down speed, set fade in/fade out, adjust volume, tune the pitch, etc.
- Remove music from video: If you want the added music replace the original audio files, you need to highlight the video, right click it and select “Audio Detach”. Then your original audio track will spontaneously appear in the Music Timeline. To remove it, just click on “Delete” in the keyboard. Now, drag your target audio file to the corresponding position in Music Timeline.
Step 3: Export your video with music file
When and after you are content with the result, click on ‘Create’ to export your video. In the pop-up window that appears, select the format in which you want to save the audio file.
